Overview
This green season itinerary is designed with the bird watcher in mind. Arrive to 4 nights at the Victoria Falls, staying in a pristine island camp upstream of the waterfall. With a private guide, you catch the river and its surrounds at the ideal time for birds, and will also have time to visit the Falls themselves (at their most thunderous at this time), seeing a variety of mammal and river wildlife as you go along. Then you’ll transfer with your expert guide to Botswana and the vastness of the Kahahari desert – the transfer itself will be a fascinating one taking you from a lush riverine environment to one famed for its stark aridity. Abundant bird life awaits you in the Kalahari – even flamingo if fortunate.
