The term 'responsible travel' appears in many guises and with various meanings. To us, it means three things above all:-

1. Working with various partners in Africa which share our belief that tourism can and must directly benefit communities which are associated with it, and host it.
2. Working with partners which do their utmost to protect the natural environment and minimise the impact on it of tourism, including – wherever and however possible – use of sustainable energy and materials.
3. Leveraging our safaris to Africa to bring messages back to Asia and the world on the importance of conservation and the deeply destructive nature of practices such as the use of rhino horn for medicinal purposes.

For us and our partners, responsibility is not about shouting from the rooftops and window dressing. It is about walk, not talk. It is about what we do, how we work, and how we and our customers and our partners travel together.
