Camp Kalahari

Overview

This family friendly camp offers a range of desert activities, including Bushman walks, drives, quad-biking, and horse-riding (both beginners and experienced riders). Located on Brown Hyena Island, accommodation is in comfortable retro-themed Meru-style tents with spotless en suite bathrooms.

Whilst game is patchy here, lion and brown hyena have been seen, and zebra can pass through in huge numbers. A clan of meercats have made the camp area home and are a highlight of most visits. With reasonable prices, this is a good option to experience the vastness of the Kalahari as well as explore its human past and present.
