This brick and mortar lodge is sublimely located above the Save River – looking across into Gonarezhou Park, where drives and walks are conducted by excellent guides. With a stunning main area and well-appointed rooms, Chilo offers a magical combination of home comforts and safari experience.

A 3km walk to the nearby Chivilila Falls is also well worth it for a sundowner experience – technically a cascade rather than a classic ‘fall’, Chivilila are thunderously magnificent in the wetter months. Visits to the nearby Shangaan village of Mahenya are also possible, underlining the lodge’s commitment to community-led conservation. Highly recommended.
