Overview

Set on a seasonal island in the Busanga Plains, Chisa is one of Africa’s most startlingly designed camps. The rooms are built in the style of ‘nests’ set raised well above ground level and each with panoramic views of their own. This unique property is tremendously comfortable, and has a beautiful main area.

The island itself – once home the bewitching Kapinga Camp – gets more or less accessible as flood waters ebb and flow, and the nature of the scenery and game to be seen changes with the seasons. Bird watching in the wetter seasons is unparalleled, and as the land dries to the abundance of larger mammals increases. A remarkable camp in a very special part of Africa.
