To the north and east of the Okavango Delta and panhandle, lie the seasonal Savuti
and Linyanti spillways, as well as the renowned Chobe National Park. There is a
bewitching magic and beauty to the variety of grassland, woodland and wetland in
this part of Botswana; and game viewing and birding are outstanding.
The presence
of several private concessions also makes for some very intimate visits – away from
the some of the busier and, some might argue, over-touristed other areas of the
country. The close proximity of these areas to Kasane and the Victoria Falls also
makes it convenient to couple this with the Falls and other areas in Zimbabwe or
Zambia.
